Who First Saw the Moon by the River
江畔何人初見月
The title is from Zhang Ruoxu's eighth-century poem, and asks who was the first person ever to stand by this river and look up. A thin crescent, a bank of cloud, and below it a village with its lights on. The question is not answered.
